The Intrepid is a centerpiece of the Genesee Country Museum's 150th anniversary commemoration of the Civil War. It replicates one of the hydrogen-powered balloons troops used to telegraph intelligence that allowed ground forces to train guns on enemies they couldn't see.

But with its scheduled debut fast approaching, museum officials fear the $400,000 one-of-a-kind project will fall flat.

Helium is in short supply because of the 1996 Helium Privatization Act that called on the government to sell off most of its helium reserves by 2015.

The attack happened around 12:45 p.m. at the Ashford House restaurant, a popular Irish restaurant, on 159th Street in Tinley Park, Ill., the Chicago Tribune reports.

According to Fox Chicago, the group -- described by witnessed as white and in their late teens or early 20s -- stormed into the restaurant and appeared to target one group of diners. One witness said they overheard the group chanting political slogans before entering the restaurants.

The attackers flipped over tables, broke many dishes and left several diners needing to get stitches. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, 10 were hurt in the incident, three of whom were hospitalized.

A long-time waitress at the restaurant described the scene to the Tribune as "the scariest … day of my life. They took out the whole restaurant. It was absolutely horrible."

Five of the attackers are now in police custody, though no charges have been filed as of early Sunday.

Police say the attackers knew who their targets were and that the incident was not a random act of violence, the Sun-Times reports. An investigation into the attack is ongoing.

But Scott Snelson, a ranger in the White River National Forest, is still warning hikers that cow feces is in and around Conundrum Hot Springs near Aspen and "going up there may not be as pleasant an experience as people once enjoyed."

Crews cut up 11 dead cows that were found frozen near the springs and inside a nearby cabin. Rangers believe the cows wandered into the cabin during a snowstorm but couldn't find their way out.

Division of Wildlife Resources officers tried to corner the wandering bull moose on Wednesday morning when the animal ran away. It was stopped when conservation officer Mark Burgess shot it with a tranquilizer dart.

Officers rolled the subdued moose in a large tarp and lifted him into a trailer.

Burgess says most of the moose calls that the department receives come in the winter, but a few come during the early spring.

Doyle says she was bleeding and blacked out but is doing much better. She won't identify the dog's owner but says he agreed to take a campaign sign. Doyle calls it a "sympathy vote."
