Comedian Russell Brand and Katy Perry have married in a private ceremony in India.
The ceremony, which took place at the Aman-e-Khas luxury resort, was conducted by a Christian minister.
Brand and Perry wore traditional Indian clothes, with the bride in a sari.
In keeping with the motif of their wedding, Brand proposed to Perry last December outside the Taj Mahal, India.
The ceremony took place outside the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary and the couple certainly took advantage of the local wildlife.
Present at the wedding were 21 camels, elephants and horses which formed part of Brand’s wedding procession.
Perry, using the social networking site Twitter, appealed for privacy.
